She was Zeus’s daughter, and according to legend, she sprang from a wound on his head, which is why she was seen as “equal to man,” and her image had a strong effect on the Mediterranean peoples.

The prickly pear, also known as Figuera de Pala in Valencian, is an invasive American shrub that has slowly but steadily taken over the Mediterranean environment. This collection is inspired by the invasive nature of prickly pears and the semantic coincidence, which is not etymological.
